In this topic you will learn how to Decline a Bid Request.
Steps:
Begin by logging into My MTA Portal and navigating to the Bidding Opportunities page.
Step 1Click the Bidder / Supplier Sign In link.
Step 2Enter the BSC ID and Password.
For this exercise, click into the BSC ID field and enter a valid value e.g. "monogram16".
Step 3For this exercise, click into the Password field and enter a valid value e.g. "password".
Step 4Click the Login button.
Step 5The MTA My Supplier Portal homepage displays.
The MTA My Supplier Portal and My Bidder Portal homepage is comprised of several Tiles that contains functionality / links to assist suppliers and bidders in doing business with the MTA.
Step 6The Bidding Opportunities tile contains the details of sell events applicable for the supplier.
Click the Bidding Opportunities tile.
Step 7
The Bidding Opportunities page displays.
The Invited Events tab lists the events that the Supplier / Bidder has been specifically invited to.
The Public Events tab lists public events available to all registered Suppliers / Bidders.
The user can also scroll through the Search Results section to locate the event.
Note: Use the section on the left side of the page to filter the results by Bid Status or Buying Organization. The Buying Organization option allows you to search for events by Agency. If
a supplier only wants to see events for a specific Agency (e.g. NYCTA, BRTUN, LIRRD,
MNCRR, MTABC, MTAHQ).
Step 8Note: If needed, use the Navigation Pane button to collapse the left side of the screen to view the list of events in full screen.
Step 9Note: If needed, click the Filter button to access the Filter page. Use the page to search for events by various search criteria including Event ID, Event Name and Event Status.
Step 10For this exercise, click the Public Event tab.
Step 11All public events with a status of New displays.
For this exercise, click the NYCTA / 0000426064 event.
Step 12A message displays to accept the event.
Note: If the user does not wish to accept the event, click the Cancel Button to be taken into the Events Detail page to view the event without accepting the invitation.
For this example, click the OK button to accept the event.
Step 13The Event Details page displays.
All the applicable event information is available for review.
Step 14To decline the event, click the Decline Invitation button.
Step 15The Decline Event Invitation page displays.
This page will be used to decline the event invitation.
Step 16Select a reason for declining the event invitation.
For this exercise, select the Other option.
Step 17The user may enter any additional comments as to why the event invitation is being declined.
For this exercise, click into the Comments field and enter a valid value e.g. "Test decline".
Step 18Click the Continue button to complete the decline event process.
Step 19After declining the event, the user is returned to the Bidding Opportunities page.
Step 20Click the Home button.
