New Bidder Registration


Concept

In this topic you will learn how to Register as a New Bidder.


Steps:

  1. Begin by navigating to the User Registration / Bidder Registration page.

  2. Click the User ID Registration link.

  3. The User Registration page displays.

     

    The following two options are available:

     

    Register as a Bidder with the MTA

    Register for a New User ID (existing suppliers only)

  4. Click the Register now button for the Bidder Registration option.

  5. The Bidder\Supplier Registration page displays.

     

    Information on how to complete the registration and the process related to User ID and Password is available on the page.

  6. Click the Vertical scrollbar.

  7. Confirm that the Start a new registration form radio button is selected and the subsequent questions are appropriately answered.

     

    In this example, the user is representing a business and is interested in selling good/services.

  10. The Identifying Information page displays.

     

    Enter the desired information into the Tax Identification Number and Entity Name fields.

     

    On this page the user is also able to indicate additional reporting elements such as identifying as a minority business enterprise, women-owned business enterprise, etc.

  13. The Addresses page displays.

     

    Enter the desired Primary Address information on this page.

     

    Note: The system will display recommendation/suggestions if address information entered is incorrect. The system will not enforce the recommendation.

  16. The Contacts page displays.

     

    Click the Add Contact button.

  17. Enter the desired Contact Information.

     

    When entering this information confirm that the Contact Type that is selected is appropriate for the contact that is being added.

     

    Note: If multiple contacts are added, one contact must be set as the Primary Contact. Use the Primary Contact checkbox as applicable.

  18. Enter the desired User Profile Information.

     

    Note: The Requested User ID must be alphanumeric, lower case and less than 10 characters. In addition, a Description is required and should be in the format of (First Name / Last Name).

    Click the Horizontal scrollbar.

  23. The Categorizations page displays.

     

    Select the appropriate Categories that best describe the goods and/or services supplied by the user's company.

  24. The My Categories section lists the categories that have been selected.

    Select the Select to accept the Terms of Agreement below checkbox.

     

     

    Note: Click the Terms of Agreement link to view the terms.

    Note: If needed, click the Review button to review the registration information before submittal.

    Note: Three separate email notifications will be sent to the user. One with the Bidder ID, one with the User ID confirmation and one with the Password.
