In this topic you will learn how to Register as a New Bidder.
Steps:
Begin by navigating to the User Registration / Bidder Registration page.
Step 1Click the User ID Registration link.
Step 2The User Registration page displays.
The following two options are available:
Register as a Bidder with the MTA
Register for a New User ID (existing suppliers only)
Step 3Click the Register now button for the Bidder Registration option.
Step 4The Bidder\Supplier Registration page displays.
Information on how to complete the registration and the process related to User ID and Password is available on the page.
Step 5Click the Vertical scrollbar.
Step 6Confirm that the Start a new registration form radio button is selected and the subsequent questions are appropriately answered.
In this example, the user is representing a business and is interested in selling good/services.
Step 7Click the Horizontal scrollbar.
Step 8Click the Next button.
Step 9The Identifying Information page displays.
Enter the desired information into the Tax Identification Number and Entity Name fields.
On this page the user is also able to indicate additional reporting elements such as identifying as a minority business enterprise, women-owned business enterprise, etc.
Step 10Click the Horizontal scrollbar.
Step 11Click the Next button.
Step 12The Addresses page displays.
Enter the desired Primary Address information on this page.
Note: The system will display recommendation/suggestions if address information entered is incorrect. The system will not enforce the recommendation.
Step 13Click the Horizontal scrollbar.
Step 14Click the Next button.
Step 15The Contacts page displays.
Click the Add Contact button.
Step 16Enter the desired Contact Information.
When entering this information confirm that the Contact Type that is selected is appropriate for the contact that is being added.
Note: If multiple contacts are added, one contact must be set as the Primary Contact. Use the Primary Contact checkbox as applicable.
Step 17Enter the desired User Profile Information.
Note: The Requested User ID must be alphanumeric, lower case and less than 10 characters. In addition, a Description is required and should be in the format of (First Name / Last Name).
Step 18Click the Vertical scrollbar.
Step 19Click the OK button.
Step 20The entered Contact is added.
Click the Horizontal scrollbar.
Step 21Click the Next button.
Step 22The Categorizations page displays.
Select the appropriate Categories that best describe the goods and/or services supplied by the user's company.
Step 23The My Categories section lists the categories that have been selected.
Step 24Click the Horizontal scrollbar.
Step 25Click the Next button.
Step 26The Submit page displays.
Select the Select to accept the Terms of Agreement below checkbox.
Note: Click the Terms of Agreement link to view the terms.
Step 27Click the Submit button.
Note: If needed, click the Review button to review the registration information before submittal.
Step 28The Registration Submit Details page displays.
Note: Three separate email notifications will be sent to the user. One with the Bidder ID, one with the User ID confirmation and one with the Password.
